Several months ago Melissa reached out to me to inquire about a family session. When I asked her how she’d found me, she said Instagram! I was so excited to hear that she was able to find me. We quickly began planning a time for us to meet and photograph her family. Her young son was in the midst of a busy fall baseball season, so we settled on a date in November. That seemed like a ways out, but before I knew it November was here this year! Maybe it’s because my weekends have been so packed, but this  fall has FLOWN by!!

I met Melissa, her husband, and son on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial this past Sunday. They are a military family and move on an average of every two years. Every time they move, they take new family photos in their new location. I thought this was a great idea and especially meaningful that we did their session at such an iconic DC location. We took our time and walked around the area getting to know each other. They were so fun and a genuinely happy family.
