This weekend flew by…once again! On Friday night my sister came into town to assist me with the wedding I was photographing on Saturday. We caught up, hung out, and relaxed before our busy day on Saturday. It’s been so nice that she has been able to second shoot with me this year. It’s always a good reason for her to get out of Charlottesville for the weekend and hang with Josh and I! Josh’s brother and his girlfriend were also in town this weekend! We had a packed house Saturday night and of course this meant we had to play Monopoly. I’ve come to dread this board game that we play every single time we’re all together…but I make it through with snacks, wine, and the battles that ensue between Josh and his brother. Ben usually wins.

Saturday’s wedding was a showstopper. Mack and Molly had a gorgeous sunny day with so many awesome family members and friends.The ceremony was in the early morning and the rest of the day went by beautifully afterwards. We did have to deal with some pretty cold temps, but nobody let it steal the joy. I’ll be sharing more this week! My sister and I kept commenting on how relaxing and smooth the day was going. This was also the first wedding where I tried out my new rolling gear bag. Holy cow that thing was amazing!! It made the day even more efficient and easy to grab gear quickly. I changed my lenses far more often than I have in the past several weddings I’ve shot this season. That little investment was WELL WORTH IT!

On Sunday I met up with the Brooks family at my favorite memorial in DC. Melissa found me on Instagram so I was extra excited to meet these guys! I’ll also be sharing more from their session later this week.
